{"id":570,"date":"2018-10-24T16:45:01","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T14:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gp2a.org\/?p=570"},"modified":"2019-04-16T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T16:57:16","slug":"gp2a-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gp2a.org\/index.php\/2018\/10\/24\/gp2a-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"27th Annual GP2A Medicinal Chemistry Conference, 21st-23rd August 2019 at the University of Nottingham (UK)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that the <strong>27th Annual GP2A Medicinal Chemistry Conference will take place between 21st-23rd August 2019 at the University of Nottingham (UK)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be hosted by the Division of Biomolecular Sciences and Medicinal Chemistry within the School of Pharmacy here at the University of Nottingham and will take place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devere.co.uk\/east-midlands-conference-centre\/\">East Midlands Conference Centre<\/a> which is situated on University Park Campus.<\/p>\n<p>This year we will be running an exciting <a href=\"https:\/\/gp2a.org\/index.php\/2019\/04\/16\/gp2a-2019-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-meeting workshop<\/a> aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral researchers\u00a0on due diligence relating to quantitative pharmacological data. This workshop has been put together by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/life-sciences\/people\/steven.charlton\">Prof. Stephen Charlton<\/a> (Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Discovery and Chief Scientific Officer of Excellerate Biosciences Ltd) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nottingham.ac.uk\/life-sciences\/people\/steve.hill\">Prof. Stephen Hill<\/a> (Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and current President of the British Pharmacological Society). The workshop is included in the conference registration fee, however spaces will be limited.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will include a range of\u00a0invited speakers, in addition to a number of opportunities for PhD students and postdoctoral\u00a0researchers to speak, industrial exhibitors and poster presentations. Registration and the call for abstracts for poster and oral presentations will be opened shortly &#8211; more details will appear here soon, and will also be disseminated by email.\u00a0In the meantime any general enquiries can be directed to <a href=\"mailto:gp2a2019@gp2a.org\">gp2a2019@gp2a.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to welcoming you to Nottingham with the aim of continuing on from what was an excellent and scientifically stimulating meeting earlier this year in Normandy.
